Calling all moms, dads , kids and yard tools!
On Saturday, May 21, the PTSA and Proud Dads are going to install the BCS Organic Garden. This is an update, resurrection, of the previous garden. This will be a full day effort and will require all hands on deck. The schedule for the day will have us out there from 9:00am until 6:00pm.
We are hoping for a strong turnout that will allow us to rotate in three hour shifts (9:00 to 12:00, 12:00 to 3:00 and 3:00 to 6:00). We will be doing some digging, some weeding and some fence installation so please plan to bring yard rakes, garden rakes, weed eaters and gloves, if you have them. Refreshments will be on hand as will some soccer balls and basketballs for the kids.
The Organic Garden is intended as a teaching/learning tool for BCS and will include opportunities for vegetable gardening, flower gardening and natural succession. It will be located behind the school in the same location as the previous garden.
This is sports season, and we understand that there will be scheduling conflicts. Please respond soon so we can plan accordingly.
Please forward an email with your availability to Mike Anderson (mike@mccanco.com).
Thanks,
Mike
